WORLD BANK BACKS NOLLYWOOD WITH $3O MILLION IN FUNDING
(CP-AFRICA) – The World Bank recently announced its decision to support Nollywood with about $30 million in funding.
The Bank disclosed that it visited some local banks to ask why they weren’t funding Nollywood projects and that the banks insisted that they found Nollywood projects to be too risky. The World Bank thus decided to step in to provide a much needed buffer. You can read all about the Nollywood cash infusion here.
