2Maker Faire Africa (MFA), is a celebration of African ingenuity, innovation and invention. This year’s event kicked off at the Chancellor’s Court of the University of Nairobi, Kenya on August, 27th 2010, bringing together inventors, innovators and artists from Africa’s informal sector such as jua kali creators from Kenya and other inventors from Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria and South Africa.
The inaugural event took place August 14-16 at the AITI Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
