Spotlight on Kemi Adetiba #Hi Magazine

Kemi Adetiba although a graduate of Law, in a short space of time has dominated Nigerian entertainment, not only on a national level but a continental level as well. Starting off as a radio personality with Rhythm 93.7FM, soon after her appointment, she was the voice behind two hit shows national syndicated; Soul’d Out, and her signature, Sunday at the Seaside. Her versatility was also shown on other shows like the Dance-Party on Wednesdays and Rhythm ‘n’ Soul.

In a slow transition, she eventually left radio, her first love to focus on her budding television career. Kemi is currently one of Nigeria’s top Television personalities and Producers, having hosted hit shows like Mnet’s Studio 53 and Temptation Nigeria (continentally syndicated), Soundcity’s Lifestyle Show, Celebrity Profiles, Chat Room , Red-Carpet Specials and Maltina Dance All Realty Show (all nationally syndicated) . It is no wonder that she was nominated in 2006 for the ‘On-Air Personality of the Year’ Award at the Future Nigeria Awards ceremony.

Her love for music, and recognized Deejay skills while still on radio led to her being approached to becoming a Celebrity Deejay on selected nights at Bacchus Night-Club (Nigeria’s Premier Lounge and Club) which she did with mind-blowing success.

Kemi has also proven her worth as a compere for numerous big production events, both in and out of the country; some examples are Silverbird’s 25^th Anniversary, Hosting the DTH End of year celebration show, along side the great Arthur Michelle (founder of the Dance Theatre in Harlem, NY), Host of the launch of Haute Fashion Magazine in New York, The Future Nigeria Awards (with Hollywood actor, Raz Adoti ,2008), the 2009 HIPHOP World Awards, and MADE Magazine’s “Celebrities on the Runway” show, to name a few.
