Federal Government has commended the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade union Congress (TUC) for heeding the pleas of President Goodluck Jonathan to call off the strike which had taken tolls on the economy following the observance of the action yesterday across the country.
Conveying the position of the Federal Government over the parley it had with the Union leaders, Minister of Labour, Mr. Chukwuemeka Wogu, said the government was committed to ensuring that the issues were properly looked into.
He said the government was minded to keeping to the dictates of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and pledged that the dialogue that led to the concession of calling off the action will continue with good results. READ MORE
