Paga, a mobile payment system from the stables of Pagatech, Nigeria has been issued an operating license by the Central Bank of Nigeria. according to the Company’s Founder, Tayo Oviosu.

“After a very detailed and thorough process, the Central Bank of Nigeria (“CBN”) has licensed Paga to deliver its mobile money service to Nigeria,” he said.

The service which is expected to roll out anytime soon would likely be launched in the first quarter of 2011. The service has been in pilot mode for a number of month since September 2010.
