Nigeria’s foremost submarine cable company, MainOne Cable has gone live. The submarine project which took off on the 9th of February, 2008 has completed its’ first phase of implementation, which spans 6’900 kilometers and hope to cover about 14’000 kilometers after completion. With landing points in Lagos Nigeria, Accra Ghana and Sexial Portugal with more to come, MainOne Cable, a company founded by Main Street Technologies is set to provide broadband Internet services through Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to countries between Portugal and the West Coast of Africa.
