INEC relaunches website; adopts web 2.0 compliant features and theme

INEC recently relaunched its website by adopting a web 2.0 compliant theme. The previous INEC website was not as easy to navigate and had poor visual aesthetics. This theme change is welcome.

INEC appears to be targeting Nigerian youths with its new website re-launch. The portal is simple and user friendly and incorporates links to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. It also has a blog. (However its blog is not functional yet). All other information that was obtainable on its previous platform are available on this new platform.

Perhaps in coming years, INEC can take its web 2.0 efforts a step further by incorporating crowd mapping software such as Ushahidi to its platform.
