Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has 1 million + Twitter Followers, operates fast growing social networking site, Yookos.com

Move over President Goodluck Jonathan! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is Nigeria’s biggest social media celebrity.

With over 1 million twitter followers, Pastor Chris is easily Nigeria’s most followed public figure on the social web.

Pastor Chris’ church, Christ Embassy is also the owner of a fast growing and popular social networking/microblogging site called Yookos.com. Through Yookos.com, Pastor Chris interacts with his congregation members and shares prayer points with them. The website shares similar features with Twitter and in addition, allows users to start groups, create albums, among others.

Yookos launched in early 2011 and is currently a top 100 site in Nigeria at number 95, according to Alexa.  (Though it launched with a bang, web traffic has since leveled off)
