The Government of Lagos State is set to launch a radio station dedicated to solely broadcasting traffic and road safety information, Vanguard reports. The State government reportedly secured a license to operate the station late last month.
According to the State Commissioner for Transportation, Professor Bamidele Badejo, “The station will keep the public informed with live information and reports on traffic and transportation related issues all over Lagos as events unfold.”
The station is expected to help empower Lagosians with much needed information on road traffic information to prevent traffic congestation and encourage better efficient usage of city routes. For more news on Lagos State initiatives, check out this post on the I See Lagos Campaign.
