Perhaps Nigerians experiencing poor service under the MTN network have cause to be joyful…
MTN Nigeria recently announced its plans to invest $1 billion into upgrading its mobile network. The announcement was made by Brett Goschen, MTN Nigeria CEO during MTN’s 10 year celebration.
According to Goshen, “a good investor should seize further investments in a dynamic market like the Nigerian economy.”
Nigeria is currently MTN’s most profitable operation accounting for up 29% of the telecoms group’s revenue – a contribution that amounted to about N749 billion in 2010.
We hope the group follows through with its announcement.
