Africa Awards: Announcing the Tech4Africa Innovation Award
Presented to a single winner, the Tech4Africa Innovation Award encourages innovation for solving uniquely African problems, whilst also encouraging global thinking. The Award recognises that innovation can be entrepreneurial, as well as intrapreneurial, and so is open to anyone or any company.

All entrants will be judged by an advisory board, and a final 10 selected and announced. The announcement and recognition of the winner takes place at a VIP dinner before the Tech4Africa conference, where the 10 finalists, Tech4Africa partners, selected press, advisory board, and captains of industry are invited to watch presentations from the finalists, and to honour the eventual winner.

AWARD CRITERIA
The prize is for outstanding innovation, in any field of mobile, web or emerging technology
The innovation should solve a uniquely African problem
The company or person behind the innovation must be based in Africa
The innovation may already be in production

IMPORTANT NOTES
There is no cost to apply.
All entrants must, at the least, submit a working prototype. Any presentation only (powerpoint or other) application will not be judged.
