Launched in June this year, Techloy.com was easily the fastest growing technology blog in West Africa and has swiftly moved up the web rankings in just six months. Founded by Loy Okezie of Startups Nigeria, the blog has since been at the forefront of technology discussions spearheading online discussions around Google’s GNBO and controversy surrounding Dealfish Ads. The blog enjoys a healthy following of web enthusiasts and tech entrepreneurs and seems poised to continue to ride its rapid growth in 2012.
Founded in 2009 by Sherrif Shittu, Webtrendsng, a top go-to resource for Nigerian web trends has been a useful source of breaking news and insights on Nigeria’s web space. This year, it broke th enews of MIH Internet Africa’s Kalahari shut down among others and though it has grown a bit quieter in the past month, it seems bent on continuing to shape Nigeria’s web trends in the coming years.
