SEDI PRESENTS STUDENT ECONOMIC FORUM (ABUJA 2012)
0On the theme of “My role as a youth in the accomplishment of vision 20:2020”, Students’ Economic Forum (SEF), a product of Students’ Economic Development Initiatives (RC46414) is committed to strategically create a platform for youths to engage, participate and play their roles in national socio-economic development. Our aim is to raise a generation that will foster strong economic development, engender national pride and strength.
“This year we are focusing on how Vision 20:2020 can be accomplished by the involvement of the youth from the intellectual platform.”
Project History
Students’ Economic Forum (SEF) was founded on the 7th of September, 2009 for the purpose of creating platforms for youth involvement in economic development and social-economic policy making.
The project came as a result of several interviews and interaction with the youths within and outside the higher institutions of learning, many of whom do not even show interest on how the national economy is evolving. Unfortunately, this period is one when our dear country is in dire need of ideas and practical solutions.
Why this programme?
· We believe that the youth are the oil of motion and their early involvement, will allow them to use the zeal towards the development of the state.
· It is an avenue to trade vice for virtue
· It is an indirect way of preparing the future
· It is an avenue to start building the industrialist the nation need.
