Introducing Walka: DStv Nigeria launches “Walka” mobile TV device

DStv Nigeria recently launched the “Walka” mobile TV device. With Walka, DStv subscribers will be able to watch cable television on the go with access to about 15 channels on the DStv Mobile DVB-H network.

Speaking about the device, Mayo Okunola, DStv Nigeria’s General Manager for Digital Mobilek Television said “existing DStv subscribers who are currently on premium bouquet will enjoy the service free of charge after purchasing the device.” Non-DStv subscribers can choose between a mini package of about 11 channels for N680 per month or a Maxi package of 14 channels for N1,680 per month he said.

The Walka device is currently sold at about N17,500 a piece.
