Telecommunications company, Airtel recently rolled out its 3.75G network across Nigeria boosting its network capacity across all 36 states of the federation.
With the launch of its 3.75G services, the company promises its customers high speed mobile broadband and internet access and aims to empower its users to be able to watch live TV, download music and make video calls on their mobile devices.
Speaking at the launch of the 3.75G network, the company’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Rajan Swaroop said that Airtel is poised to raise the bar in its quest to delight Nigerians with more innovative and affordable telecoms offerings.
The company also announced a data package of up to 50% bonus on purchase of any of its data plan bundles, free 2GB on purchase of data dongle and a free one month subscription for BlackBerry users who activate a two-month plan.
At the launch, Airtel’s C.E.O further said:
“Today, we are the only operator with five different channels for data bundle activation and our 3.75G capacity is up to 42 megabytes per seconds. This is in sync with the commitment we made to Nigerians on commencement of operation not too long ago, that we shall provide our customers with mobile telecommunications services that will be innovative, affordable, delightful and impactful regardless of our customers’ class, social status or income level. We will continue to live by our commitment to becoming the most loved brand in the daily lives of Nigerians.”
