A new TV drama series, Emerald is set to hit Nigerian screens by mid year. Seven Series Production producers of the series have partnered with Quinty Pillay, producer of Malta Guinness Street Dance and Jacob’s Cross on Mnet as the series’ Producer.
Renowned Director, Denny Miller who has worked on Mnet’s original long-running soap Egoli, Isidingo and Tinsel amongst others will also be working on the series.
According to Mr. Oladapo Ojo, Group Managing Director, DM Holdings, the owners of SevenSeries Productions, “the duo of Pillay and Miller will be teaming up with other seasoned indigenous professionals such as Femi Odugbemi and together, are expected to bring their extensive experience and professional exposure to bear in delivering a high quality production that will redefine the Nigerian television content landscape, especially in the area of drama.”

Auditions for Emerald, a 100-cast drama series, have already begun. The cast is expected to be drawn from a pool of established as well as budding stars. Transmission is expected to break by mid-year.
