Google unveils $199 Nexus 7 tablet
1The global tablet world just got more interesting with Google’s unveiling of its Nexus 7 Tablet priced at only $199 at the Google I/O developer conference. The 7 inch tablet from Asus that will run the latest version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The tablet is currently available for pre-order at Google Play for $199.
The device boasts a 1,280-by-800 HD display, and runs a Tegra 3 chipset with a quad-core CPU and 12-core GPU. It includes a front facing camera and connectivity options ranging including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.
For long, people around the world have yearned for affordable priced tablet devices that would help bring information and access to people around the world. Would the Google Nexus 7 tablet priced at $199 provide this affordable alternative? Only time will tell.
