Ghana targets 11 million mobile broadband connections
0Ghana is set to triple its mobile broadband capacity to 11 million broadband connections by 2020. At a recent workshop in Accra, Director of spectrum policy for the GSMA, Africa and Middle East Region, Peter Lyons told journalists that following GSMA projections that broadband spectrum would be freed up by 2015, Ghana will yield a digital dividend from which mobile broadband operators, TV broadcasters and the people of Ghana will benefit.
Given the projections, an estimated one million jobs will be created as a result.
