0The Social Media Week Lagos Team recently announced that the official schedule for this year’s inaugural event is now live and that registration is officially open for all interested attendees.
According to the organizers, Social Media Week is a worldwide event exploring the social, cultural and economic impact of social media. The mission is to help people and organizations connect through collaboration and the sharing of ideas and information.
Social Media Week hosts two global conferences each year. Each conference takes place simultaneously in multiple cities around the world, with thousands of individuals and organizations working together to host panels, workshops, talks and industry networking events. Yearly SMW hosts 80,000 people at more than 2,000 events in 26 cities around the world.
For the first time ever, Social Media Week is coming to Lagos and will bring together thought leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs and everyday citizens from Nigeria -and throughout the continent and the diaspora- to explore how people and organizations are connecting to share new ideas and information.
