In an act of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)¸ MTN Nigeria has donated digital libraries infrastructure to some selected schools in the Federal Capital Territory) , Abuja.
MTN’s General Manager, Regional Operations (North), Mr. Adekunle Adebiyi, led his team to one of the schools selected for this social responsibility, the Junior Secondary School, Gwagwalada. Mr Adebiyi was quoted to have said “Every year, MTN through its Foundation arm dedicates the month of June to giving back to education, which has been one of the pillars that we like to invest in. The 21-Days of MTN’s Yellow Care, is actually to go back to the societies where we operate to give back to selected schools just as we are doing in the entire Northern region.”
This digital library infrastructure will enable their students have access to information, e-books and catching up on technology and making the students I.T compliant.
MTN is said to have spent about N11 billion on CSR across the country on their educational investment in different forms over 10 years.
