The New York Forum Institute has announced the extension of the African Startup Award to July 31. The award will support talent and the most creative initiatives, particularly those with a social impact component.
To apply, startups must be independent, formed less than three years ago with a year of activity; 100% of the capital must be provided by African nationals and its activity must be based in Africa.
Startups will be judged based on innovation, development potential and scalability, business viability and social impact by a panel of African Business Leaders.
The top four startups will receive a total of 100,000€ grant provided by the New York Forum Institute.
- 1st prize: 50,000€
- 2nd prize: 30,000€
- 3rd prize: 10,000€
- 4th prize: 10,000€
They will also gain unprecedented visibility by the 1,500 participants expected at the New York Forum AFRICA 2015 in Libreville, joining economic and political stakeholders from Africa and the rest of the world.
