The Unilever East Africa inter-university innovation competition that focuses on the development of personal and entrepreneurial business competencies amongst Kenyan undergraduates has announced this year’s Idea Trophy to students from Kenyan public and private universities.
Participating students are required to generate innovative ideas on creating brand awareness and growing product usage among their colleagues in the target institutions. The winning University will compete with other African countries so as to represent the continent at a global stage.
Participants will have a life-time experience working on real business challenges in a multinational company as well as enjoy mentoring from experienced business leaders. They will work with creative agencies to bring their ideas to life besides gaining access to a resource toolkit and problem-solving frameworks.
Three students from University of Eldoret won the 2014 Edition.
Participants stand the chance to win a trip to the Global Future Leader’s League at one of Unilever’s international hubs plus a highly sought-after internship at the firm which was voted as the number one FMCG Employer of choice among students.
The Idea Trophy competition was first launched in the year 2012 and has garnered interest among the student communities.
