Village Capital and Kenya’s first open makerspace, Gearbox have launched an accelerator programme for hardware startups across Africa.
12 startups will be selected to join the hardware focused accelerator programme, where they’ll receive business advice from their peers, potential customers, investors and industry experts, which will help scale their business. At the end of the accelerator, two startups will each receive US$50,000 in funding after selection by their peers.
The programme, which will consist of three intensive four-day sessions to be held in Kenya between October and February is aimed at startups that improve access to energy for all, and increase agricultural productivity for smallholder farmers.
Application is open until September 7. Visit Vilcap Hardware Accelerator to apply.
