WumDrop, a courier and fleet management app has emerged winner of the 4th MTN Business App of the year challenge held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
WumDrop emerged as the Best Enterprise App and Best Overall App, receiving the US$15,570 cash prize.
Cofounded by Simon Hartley and Roy Borole, WumDrop allows its users to send any package anywhere, and with a click of a button. The app is available to business clients and can be incorporated in their e-commerce offering.

The MTN Business App Challenge saw other apps emerge winners in different categories, including DStv Now (Best Consumer App category), M4JAM (BEST Wild Card App category), CPUT Mobile (Best Enterprise Development App category), Vula Mobile (Most Innovative App category), and EskomSePush (Best Breakthrough Developer App category).
The annual challenge seeks to unearth innovative and customised apps that will create a distinct customer experience. Previous winners have included CustomApp, a mobile based fraud-combating solution and Snapscan, a mobile payment app.
