International Breweries has launched Kickstart in Nigeria, an entrepreneurship programme aimed at creating a culture of entrepreneurship among young people.
The programme is open to Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35, and is set to promote business awareness, provide material support, provide grants to support expansion of existing small businesses and develop business skills through mentoring & coaching.
Applications for the programme, which is intended to empower youth to create their own jobs are open until September 6, 2015.
According to SAB Miller, youth employment/empowerment is a great opportunity to help young entrepreneurs establish small scale businesses that will ultimately contribute to the reduction of unemployment in the society and also better the lives of the citizens.
The Kickstart programme has been previously been implemented in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland & Tanzania.
