You’re an entrepreneur, not a ‘nobody’, and people will respect you for that singular fact. You don’t find your type everyday. It is easiest to go find a job and working for someone who will take the blame for failures in the business.
When you work for someone, you don’t have to worry about a lot of things. You’re always waiting for the month to end so you can get your pay. That’s not the life of an entrepreneur.
An entrepreneur is responsible. An entrepreneur takes risk (calculated or not). An entrepreneur ask for help. He is a learner who is a leader on the inside.
One important person in the life of an entrepreneur is a mentor. You’ve got to have a mentor. They make your journey smooth. They make the hassles less. They help reduce your errors.
That’s why you should choose them well. Yes! You don’t have to have just one mentor. You can decide to have them for different purposes; especially areas where you have challenges.
As an entrepreneur, learn to always ask for help. Don’t be too shy to do so. Don’t be an island. Don’t make mistakes that could have easily be avoided. Don’t allow loses that could have been dealt with before they rear their ugly heads.
Before you embark on a new project, ask for help. After all the bible said if you ask, you will receive. The flip side is also true. If you don’t ask, you won’t receive.
“To make sure the broad outlines of your plan works well and to sort through the details, you need to connect with some strong mentors. Having a sounding board for your ideas will be invaluable – Richard Branson”
Richard Branson continues, “your mentors will also be people you will turn to for advice and assistance when things don’t go according to plan. And you can be certain that things won’t go as planned., though that’s half the fun. Decision-making can be more difficult when the wrong call can make the difference between your being able to pay your bills (and your employees) or not. With a strong support network of people who have experience and know-how, you’re more likely to make better choices.”
That says it all, when you need help, the place to seek help is from/with your mentor(s). They are there for your success. Take advantage of all they’ve got to offer.
