Delphos International have announced that it will be the sponsor of the second annual Powering Africa Summit, which will take place between January 27th and 29th, 2016, at the Marriot Marquis in Washington, DC.
The Summit which is set to build on last year’s success and on U.S. Government’s Power Africa initiative, which commits $7 billion of US Government funding, with additional private-sector initiatives worth $20 billion, towards improving electricity generation, distribution, and transmission in Africa.
The conference will be a platform for US and African public and private-sector players to advance financially able projects and find credible partners.
Delphos International, who is regarded as a partner of Africa’s energy development also sponsored the inaugural conference in 2015.
In addition to sponsoring the event, Delphos International will be represented by a onsite exhibit and Slav Gatchev, Managing Director, will be a featured speaker on the renewable energy panel.
Talks on renewable energy and funding for Africa keeps getting on the front burner as Delphos International’s move is seen as one that pushes Africa a step forward in making progress in this regard.
The 2015 summit which had over 17 countries well represented had a huge impact on the continent with the initiative also sponsoring over 53 high-flying students across the continent to various energy summits and also fixing them with reputable institutions.
