Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, will be operating more flights between Johannesburg and Seychelles this December in a bid to accommodate popular summer travel to the island. The airline also announced convenient new flight timings to meet seasonal demand over the busy end-of-year period.
Effective Sunday, 1 November 2015, the new schedule will the airline’s flight HM060, three-per-week service to Seychelles, move from the usual 12:35 departure to a 14:00 departure, to arrive in Seychelles at 20:55, rather than the current time of 19:30. The return flight from Seychelles, HM061, will now depart at 09:25, to arrive in Joburg at 12:35 again.
In addition to these adjusted scheduled services Air Seychelles will also introduce an additional flight each week between Johannesburg and Seychelles, which will operate every Tuesday between 15 December 2015 and 5 January 2016.
The newly added “Tuesday services will add more than 1, 000 return seats on the route for guests travelling to the island for the Christmas and New Year celebrations” says Roy Kinnear for Air Seychelles.
In addition to flying between Johannesburg and Seychelles, travellers can also make use of Air Seychelles’ domestic services to the island of Praslin, the second largest island of the Seychelles, lying 44km northeast of Mahé, which is a 15-minute flight away.
