Odion Ighalo, a professional Nigerian footballer, who plies his trade with Watford FC in England has established himself as the top scorer in the country for the year, 2015 ending in few days time.
He scored the 30th goal for the year after scoring against Tottenham hotspurs yesterday despite his team losing 1 goal to 2 last night.
The goal is his 14th goal of the season, and makes him the highest goal scorer in the country for the year across the four divisions. The goal also ensured that he has scored in six consecutive games. He is currently sitting on the third position on the goal scorers log for the season behind Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku who have 15 goals each to their names.
Odion Ighalo, whose performance in this year’s league has earned him accolades such as his nomination in the EPL Player of the Month for Africans.
The 26 year old, has shown consistency this year as some analysts believe he may be priced away from his present football club, either during the January transfer window or during the summer transfer window.
We do wish Odion Ighalo the best as he continually soars higher in England.
