Celebrating Progress Africa [cp-africa] was born out of the notion that in concert, we can re-build the continent through optimism, creativity, and perseverance. For too long, the world has focused on the things that are wrong about Africa – the poverty, the disease, the hunger, the strife…
At CP-Africa, we choose to celebrate what is right about Africa. Through partnerships with organizations online and on the ground, we hope to create a paradigm shift amongst Africans everywhere and offer a space for inspiration and creativity.
THE CP-AFRICA STORY
CP-Africa was founded in 2009 when its founder, Nmachi Jidenma started sharing progressive links happening in Nigeria on her Facebook wall. She later added topics from other African countries and in April 2009 moved the content to a Blogger account and later on, to its current domain, www.cp-africa.com.
Till date, CP-Africa has over 500 contributors from all over the continent and growing.
The website is currently owned and managed by Ubuntu Concepts, an African firm based in Lagos, Nigeria.
