Job Description:

POSITION: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

LOCATION: PORT-HARCOURT

REF NO: LEC/ERG/CFO10/01

Our client is a fast growing company in the Oil and Gas Sector, operating under the Marginal Fields Development Programme of the Federal Government. It urgently requires the services of a financial expert as the Chief Financial Officer to head its Finance and Accounts section.

POSITION

This position reports to the Managing Director and has the responsibility of coordinating and supervising all finance and accounts staff to ensure the effect running of the unit. The position sees to the development of a functional Accounting System, conducting of Budget Analysis and preparation of various reports and account statements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

•Must posses a good Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related areas. An MBA in related fields plus a professional qualification in Accounting will be an added advantage.

•Minimum of 10 years cognate work experience as a Finance/Accounting Staff of which 4-5 years must have been in a senior position. He/She must be conversant with E&P Fiscal policies and regimes, have a good understanding of the capital/financial market institutions, government tax regimes and environment, and have reasonable experience in Foreign Exchange and International Financial Transaction.

•Experience in the basic accounting software, SAP is advantageous.

•Must demonstrate excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
