“Broadcasting today is rather not taking a creative note and this is a programme that will develop its participants to think creatively so that they can produce valuable programmes for their varied listeners and viewers,” says Doris Onyejeose, Marketing Manager of SMC.
Hence, the School of Media and Communication (SMC) at the Pan-African University will commence a new certificate programme in ‘Broadcasting’. The course will run from 13th of November to 26th February 2011.
“This is an opportunity for aspiring broadcasters to develop their talent to become great producers/presenters. The course will dwell on the business of broadcasting in Nigeria and beyond,” she says.
In addition, it will provide vistas of opportunity for appraising the quality of content, selling air time, manage relationship with advert agencies, matching specific market and advertisers and discover effective ways to develop and manage a radio or television station.
This certificate course is a 20-day programme spread across 4 month from November to February. The course fee is N400,000 and payment of this amount could be made by cheque/draft in favour of School of Media and Communication or direct transfer to any Zenith Bank branch into account number 6016503812.
