Kayode is currently a Law Student at Queen Mary, University of London, and a self-taught hobbyist photographer and photojournalist. He has had a penchant for photography from a very young age – growing up, he kept a scrapbook, and enjoyed collecting old family photos. He took up photography actively at the age of 16.
Kayode’s work is dynamic and shows a variety of influences. One of his photos, “Bus 25 is not a limo” is currently on display in the foyer of his university’s administrative building, as it was voted the best in the “working the camera” category of the “Reflections of Queen Mary” photo competition, 2009.
His photography is particularly striking, as he documents whatever he is capturing with dexterity – be it his unique style of portraiture; or his documentative polo diaries, travel, street, music and candid photography. He says photography is a joy for him, and he is “happy to capture moments that will otherwise never be seen the same way again”.
Kayode is hosting his debut exhibition from the 23rd to 31st of December 2010 in Ibadan, Nigeria.
