The Bauchi state government welcomes both local and foreign investors to develop the Yankari National Park located in northern Nigeria. The state government is interested in exploiting the full potential of the park and is seeking further investment in tourist facilities and infrastructure.
Identified investment opportunities
Electrification project: Potential investors would complete the installation of the electricity grid to Yankari National Park, which would provide constant power.
Road network project: This opportunity involves the rehabilitation of the road to the Wikki Camp and the construction of game viewing tracks.
Organising package tours: One area of mutual co-operation would be in organizing package tours to Bauchi state. These would primarily be to the Yankari National Park and the other local tourist sites such as the Emirs’ palaces, the Geji rock paintings and the miracle tree of Alkaleri. Traditional festivals such as Durbar and fishing could also be included in the packages.
