Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak says he is asking the government to resign and is planning to commission a new government in a recent video televised by CNN. “I am on the side of security of Egypt, and I would not let anything dangerous happen that would threaten peace and the law and the future of the country,” Mubarak said.
Though his speech is welcome, we find his statement a little off. Egyptians want him to resign not his government. Of course, both will be ideal but him first.
