Nigeria’s Power Minister, Professor Barth Nnaji recently assured Nigerians that power supply will hit about 9,000MW by December this year if all goes well. He revealed this at a recent meeting between the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Power and concerned stakeholders in the industry.
According to him,
“As you know, the Federal Government has been doing a lot to ensure that we rapidly accelerate power supply situation in the country.’’
He further stated that Nigeria will collaborate with international oil producers of gas and transportation to ensure that gas is adequately supplied to power stations. and that the country would collaborate with international oil producers and the producers of gas and transportation to ensure the supply of gas to power stations. He assured Nigerians that when all the National Integrated Power Producers start functioning in December and gas supply is steady to the plants, more electricity would get to consumers.
