Though the launch of Nigerian telecommunications company, Globacom in Ghana took much longer than anticipated, the telecoms company has since snatched up 2 million subscribers in just 4 months since its launch. With this milestone number, the company officially commands 8% of the Ghana telecommunications market.This is testament of the attractiveness of the Ghana telecommunications sector, a sector where players such as Tigo and Vodacom are already dominant players.
Speaking on the company’s accomplishment of the milestone number, Glo Ghana recently said “In keeping with our innovative tradition, we rolled out the most modern telecommunications network and introduced into the market abundant, superior and attractive value offerings in all the ten regions of the country from day one. This accounted for our instant success in Ghana.
Glo plans on rolling out in other West African countries very soon including Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire.
