Nando’s, the South African casual restaurant franchise/chain is celebrating its 25th birthday through a 25 reasons to love South Africa campaign that it recently launched on the online pin board service, Pinterest.
The franchise has made its pinboard detailing 25 reasons why it loves South Africa and has advised fans to repin their favourite reasons from the Nando board. Fans are also encouraged to create their own boards. The most shared pins will make their way to an online video campaign to be launched by Nando’s.
Nando’s has also advised South Africans to tweet their boards to its Twitter page or paste links to their boards on its Facebook page.
The campaign represents a creative example of how African brands can use the fast growing sharing service, Pinterest to connect with their fans. Pinterest is currently a top 20 site in South Africa according to web information company, Alexa.
