Tech4Africa is here again. The prominent African technology conference is back this year with the theme “Unlocking the next billion consumers”.
Tech4Africa 2012 will be held on Wednesday 31 October and Thursday 1 November at The Indaba Hotel, Gauteng, South Africa.
The conference will comprise a Developer Day and Hackathon on Wednesday, 31 October which includes three tracks — a day on Agile software development, a Hackathon with sessions on Ruby on Rails, Python, Raspberry Pi, PhP etc., as well as workshops for social media marketers on apps ecosystem, monetisation etc.
Sessions at the conference will focus on mobile and content, entrepreneurship and financing, social business and innovation among others.
This year’s keynote speakers include Tom Rosemalia, vice president of corporate strategy and general manager of enterprise initiatives at IBM and Ralph Simon, founder & CEO of Mobilium.
This year, a Google+ Hangout will be held live at the conference to enable participants from tech hubs around the continent be a part of the conference.
