In a build-up of activities towards INDIBA 2015, South African Tourism is currently hosting a group of international and local bloggers in the country so they can share the experience with the world.
The bloggers have been split into three groups that are following different itineraries across the country for 12 days, their arrival in Johannesburg was on Thursday 30 April 2015.
The three itineraries are, Eclectic adventures- The #MeetSouthAfrica group, Luxury and sustainability,and the last group; South Africa 101
The #MeetSouthAfrica eclectic adventures bloggers were to set off early on Friday, May 1st for South Africa’s Mother City, Cape Town.
The sight-seers itinerary included a tour and cable car ride overview of the city bowl, an inner-city Instawalk to meet the locals, a visit to the heritage centre of the Bo-Kaap, with its distinctive coloured houses and Cape Malay culture. Breakfast at the prestigious One&Only hotel, lunch in Matjiesfontein – a timeless Karoo village, a national heritage site. a three-hour journey to Oudtshoorn, home of the Cango Caves and Karusa Winery where they were treated to country dinner was all part of the package. So also is an ostrich farm tour and cruise to the famous Knysna Heads, where the lagoon meets the ocean.

A flight out of George airport takes the bloggers up the coast to Durban to be hosted at the Elangeni along the city’s famous Golden Mile.
The luxury and sustainability route will see eight bloggers experiencing the best of South African hotels, dining and wellness retreats. Their itinerary is all fun and luxury.
After having enjoyed a welcome in Johannesburg and a meal and overnight stay at the ultra-luxurious Saxon hotel, this group of bloggers is currently in Cape Town, where they enjoyed a walk through the historic Bo-Kaap area, and a Coffeebeans art tour.
Then they got to visit the exquisite Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat – situated in the northern Cederberg mountains, about 270km from Cape Town. The itinerary included wine tasting at Groote Post Vineyards, a visit to Aquila Private Game Reserve for a Big Five experience.
Team 3, South Africa 101 bloggers team is set to experience and feel the landscape of South Africa.
The group were treated to a City Sightseeing tour of the city, as well as a trip up Table Mountain, and an authentic Cape Malay lunch and cooking class in the Bo-Kaap.
The next day sees the bloggers off penguin spotting at Boulders Beach, followed by the sights of Cape Point and Noordhoek. A sunset champagne cruise and dinner at the Pot Luck Club to round up the day’s activities
Day three involves adventure on a tour with the White Shark Project, and lunch and an overnight stay at Spier wine farm. The next day sees the bloggers enjoying wine and food at Spier.
The luxurious Phinda Private Game Reserve in Durban hosted the group for 2 days also.
