The Lagos StartupWeek, a five-day entrepreneurship conference, has been scheduled to begin July 27th 2015. The startup event, aimed at celebrating Entrepreneurs and SME owners, will have 1,000 Entrepreneurs and small business owners in attendance, and will feature panel discussions, workshops, pitches (for entrepreneurs seeking funding) and networking opportunities.
The event will also have visitors from several parts of Africa, as well as from countries such as the United Kingdom (UK), United States, Spain and Switzerland. Event speakers will include some of the most amazing startup founders, thought leaders, industry experts and investors.
According to StartupWeek founder, Andrew Hyde, “StartupWeek is a catalyst for new opportunities. When you bring dedicated entrepreneurs with good ideas together with mentors and investors, great things are going to happen.”
Local organizer of the Lagos StartupWeek said: “The world’s focus is on Africa at the moment with Nigeria being a pivotal point for investment activities on the continent. Africa is certainly rising and Nigeria appears to be leading this rebirth. If you are interested in checking out or getting plugged into the Lagos startup scene, there isn’t a better time to come to Lagos than during Lagos StartupWeek.”
