Lagos-based Information Technology Developers Entrepreneurship Accelerator (iDEA) has opened applications for its 14-week Accelerator Program.
The iDEA Acceleration Program consists of 3 modules; Design, Build, Pitch, which will help startups to launch, grow market share and raise funds. Each week startups will receive mentor-led sessions, after which iDEA staff will work with them to incorporate new thinking into their execution plans and operational practice.
With a pool of over 80 expert mentors, the iDEA program provides a number resources to help Entrepreneurs create successful businesses, including access to a network of Venture Capital partners, Angel investors and other financiers, a grant of $10,000 to help cover expenses, free dedicated space for four people, training programs, business support (legal, accounting, tax, PR & marketing and HR) and a host of others.
According to iDea, “Our relationship with our startups does not end with the programme. We stay in touch and provide support when we can, on an on-going basis”. In exchange for the benefit of the program, ideas takes a 6% stake in startups accepted into the program.
The culmination of the iDEA Accelerator Program is Demo Day, an event where startups from the accelerator program are presented to investors, and the larger ecosystem.
