According to a statement by the campaign team of Ben Carson, the presidential hopeful will be touring Africa later this year.
The trip is expected to begin on the 27th of December, 2015 with three African nations penciled down for the tour. Although no specification was made on the countries to be visited yet, indications have emerged that the visit is not unconnected with his plans of securing the votes of Africans living in the United States.
Ben Carson is the only African-American among the big names across both the democratic and Republican parties vying for the United States presidency.
The trip is also likened to the mode of African connection Barrack Obama used during his campaign and it is expected to increase the US-Africa ties if the retired neurosurgeon eventually becomes the President of the country.
The length of the tour has also not been made open to the public.
Many analysts have also traced the root of the presidential hopeful to Africa, while some also believe his ambition would pose great development to the African continent.
However, Some online reports have suggested the three countries to be visited are; Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia with each country having its own purpose. Some have claimed that Mr Ben Carson claims that his ancestors are from Kenya while he also has plans to learn about the Boko Haram insurgency from Nigeria himself.
The whole trip is expected to add credit to his foreign policy inadequacies which is considered a major weakness to exploit by his opponents.
